March 2010: New line of Thermochrome coloured compounds
Our new line of thermochrome compounds works with pigments that change colour at a specific temperature. (reversable)We can offer a range of colours and different indicator temperature ranging from 5 C to 65 C. The pigments work well in silicone compounds, other polymers might need testing first. Possible applications are food industry process equipment and moulds, and many more possibilities. |

Polycomp wins ISO 16949 automotive production standard27 January 2006Vorden, Netherlands — Polycomp BV claims to be the first small compounding company to win ISO-TS16949:2002 certification. The standard is an ISO Technical Specification, which aligns existing American (QS-9000), German (VDA6.1), French (EAQF) and Italian (AVSQ) automotive quality systems standards within the global automotive industry, with the aim of eliminating the need for multiple certifications to satisfy multiple customer requirements. GM, Ford, DaimlerChrysler, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault, Fiat and Volkswagen all require every supplier to have this certification, while BMW and Nissan require compliance to the standard, but do not formally require certification. Toyota says it does not require compliance, but adds that a certificate will make its own internal audits less time-consuming. In Polycomp's case the certificate covers the development, production and delivery of customer-specific rubber compounds for automotive applications. Polycomp specialises in fluoroelastomer compounds. The certificate was granted by the Dutch KEMA organisation and is valid until November 2008.

PRESS RELEASE COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN VERNAY EUROPA HOLDING BV OF OLDENZAAL AND POL YCOMP BV OF VORDEN. Vernay Europa and Polycomp signed a strategic cooperation agreement on 20 December 1999.The cooperation concerns the development and production of rubber compounds.Vemay Europa of Oldenzaal is a producer of technically complex precision parts from elastomers -on a variety of substrates -for high-quality applications. Because of the considerable influence of the materials technology on these applications, local production and broadening of the knowledge in this field are desirable. Intensive common research had led to this cooperation with Polycomp. Polycomp in Vorden develops and produces compounds in all the elastomers available in a wide range of applications. The cooperation with Vemay fits well in with the aim of Polycomp for intensive specialization. Concerning materials technology there will be close cooperation with the parent company of Vernay Europa, Vernay Laboratories in Yellow Springs (USA). The cooperation agreement will apply to the Vemay operating companies in The Netherlands, Italy, Israel and Brazil. Oldenzaal/Vorden, 20 December 1999
